The prayer for Jerusalem is also a prayer for peace and understanding among the Abrahamic religions, but not only. We live now in a global village and the Abrahamic religions are neighbor to the Eastern religions, the native religions and others around the globe. When we pray for Jerusalem, we are actually praying for ourselves. If the brothers in the Abahamic family can be at peace through a just relationship, then it will have a ripple effect to the entire world.
