“It is my wish to leave everything that I can think of and choose for my love that thing that I cannot think.” This reminds me of the title of a book: “Buddhism is not What You Think.” This clever use of words by this contemporary authors also refers to the hallowed understanding that what is important, what is deciside, what is ultimate for us human beings is beyond thought. How do we arrive at that which is beyond thought? The Buddha’s prescription was to “stop and see.” Stop the workings of the discursive mind, and allow your heart and mind to be still, and you will see. “Be still, and know, that I AM (God).
