Elijah is honoured to have you as a member of our Board of World Religious Leaders, to join our interreligious conversations on important theological matters, to be a voice of principle and leadership on matters that affect the world and to support our programs aimed at reaching as broad an audience as possible in promoting the ideal of “sharing wisdom; fostering peace.”

Last year we resumed our Jerusalem summer school and were delighted to host 17 participants from 11 countries as well as a contingent of local participants, some of whom were sponsored by yourselves. The fact that members of the Board of World Religious Leaders supported participation of local Palestinian and Israeli students was very important in bringing them into the dialogue.

This year’s summer school will be held 16-21 August. Because of last summer’s war, participation of local Muslims and Christians was not as full or as large as we would have preferred. We trust that this year, the atmosphere will be different. We have re-named the program as an “interreligious leadership training institute”, to reflect the goals of the program and will be introducing the subject of “Religious Genius”, providing participants with the knowledge and the skills to take the discussion to their local communities.

We would be very grateful for your support for the summer school again this year. Ideally, we would like you to send a participant from your community.  If you are not able to do that, we hope you will support a local participant. The cost of participation is $300 for full registration or just $100 for members of partner organizations (from whom we draw many of our local people). If you are willing to support a Palestinian from outside Jerusalem, they may like to stay in Jerusalem and then the additional cost will be $500 to enable them to stay at Ecce Homo for the six days.

If you are willing to support a local participant, please respond to this email as soon as possible so that we can spread the news to those eager to join us.
