We would like to share with you here two major presentations that members of the Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders shared with thousands of participants at the Parliament of World Religions as an outcome of their conversations and deliberations. The first important moment was a performance of the Climate Repentance ceremony, recalling the first Climate Repentance ceremony in London and bringing in new resources and new voices to the climate Repentance ceremony.
The second public performance recalled Elijah’s solidarity visit to Ukraine at the beginning of the war. The public performance focused on two interrelated elements, the practice of friendship and solidarity with Ukraine.
It included, in addition to the voices of Elijah’s religious leaders, musical contributions from Ukrainian musicians. A special presence at this event was Metropolitan Herman Semanchuk, former Archbishop of Chernivtsi and Khotyn. His passionate and compassionate appeal for Ukraine moved the hearts of many and was a highlight of this presentation.
