Work of the Interfaith Academy

Work at the Academy is carried out by teams of scholars working on announced topics. The scholars, who at a minimum represent the Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist faiths:

serve

the Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders by producing academic and theological studies, position papers and response statements

engage

in a sustained dialogue through sharing the resources, beliefs and wisdom of their own religious traditions

produce

position papers to reflect their diverse religious perspectives

formulate

joint statements to articulate their common ground

develop

policy papers and educational materials, through which work at the Academy can impact broad sectors of society

participate

in meetings of the Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders and in Academy-sponsored conferences, symposia and lecture series worldwide at which Academy work will be shared with the public

provide

study material for the worldwide network of Elijah Interfaith study chapters

brief

religious leaders on the global conversations carried out by the interfaith study chapters

The Academy's work will provide the foundation for broadly based continued discussion, study and collaboration among the world's faiths. These activities are achieved through the educational network, through publication and through dissemination of Academy papers to religious leaders, to theological and academic institutions as well as to policy makers, the media and more.
