Bishop Frank Griswold served as chaplain for the inaugural National Episcopal Preaching Conference held at Kanuga Conferences in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Co-sponsored by Kanuga and the Episcopal Preaching Foundation, the event allowed participants to grow by hearing and doing. The aim of the conference was to blend worship, lecture, discussion and fellowship with free time in the peaceful setting of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  It was a challenging and worthwhile enterprise    .
